VISI CAD/CAM & WORKNC Solutions, by Vero Software, at Expo Encuentro Industrial y Comercial Querétaro 2016, Querétaro, Mexico, Sept. 7-9
The VISI CAD/CAM and WORKNC solutions, by Vero Software, will be presented Sept. 7-9 at Expo Encuentro Industrial y Comercial Querétaro, hosted at the Querétaro Congress Center in Querétaro, Mexico.Designed to provide the entrepreneurs of Querétaro with a platform for exhibiting their manufacturing capabilities and industrial services, the expo showcases the talents of primarily automotive, appliance, aerospace and electronics manufacturers. For the past four years, the event has also facilitated networking opportunities and enabled suppliers to exhibit products and services to a larger number of potential buyers.
“This trade show is very important to Mexico because roughly 85 percent of tier one and tier two automobile and aerospace-industry suppliers are located in Querétaro,” said Raul Moreno of VISI Series Mexico.
Moreno and Gabriel Huitron of Fhomex, both resellers of VISI and WORKNC, will exhibit VISI Mold, VISI Progress, and WORKNC products at the expo. Visitors to the show are encouraged to visit booth No. 271 to learn more about all that VISI and WORKNC have to offer.
VISI Mold developments include improved cooling channel management with support for solid groups, CAD transformations and updated catalogue components such as plugs, connectors and baffles. Additional enhancements include a new tool to produce lubrication grooves and a rewritten database tool to manage and edit the 3D standard element libraries.
For those involved in sheet metal stamping, VISI Progress updates include improvements to the part replacement for 3D strip design, the ability to manage multiple strip designs within the same project, and the option for defining families of punches as instances; allowing for automatic updates of geometry if the parent punch is modified.
New to WORKNC, the Waveform strategy entails maintaining a constant load on the cutting tool by machining from the stock material towards the part geometry. This approach results in a reduced number of intermittent cutting movements, especially in the outer areas, meaning that the tool stays engaged in the material for as long as possible and leads to fewer retracts and air-cutting periods.
The stepover distance automatically adjusts in order to maintain a constant load on the cutter over the complete toolpath trajectory, making it possible to maintain optimal feed rates during the whole cycle, which can attain rates of up to five times faster than a traditional roughing strategy. Machining is performed over the full cutting length of the tool whenever possible, which distributes load evenly.
Additional improvements to WORKNC include the availability of its Auto 5 functionality as a standard module. With Auto 5, users can automatically generate 5-axis toolpath using existing 3-axis or 3+2-axis toolpath, while also taking into consideration the kinematics of the selected 5-axis machine. The intelligent toolpath is dynamically and automatically checked in order to avoid collisions and manage the linear and rotational limits of the machine.
